FreePhoneSpy is a family-safety tool. This policy draws the line between the uses we support — a parent looking after a child, or an owner monitoring a device with the user’s consent — and the uses we forbid. Using the service means agreeing to stay on the right side of that line.

This policy is part of your agreement with us and sits alongside the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. The theme running through all of it is simple: monitor openly, monitor only where you have the right to, and never use FreePhoneSpy to harm someone.
What FreePhoneSpy is for
You may use FreePhoneSpy in these situations:
- Your own minor children. You hold parental responsibility for the child whose phone you pair, and you use the service to help keep them safer online and in the world.
- Devices you own. The phone belongs to you, and the person using it knows FreePhoneSpy is installed and has agreed to it.
- Consented adult monitoring. Any adult whose device is monitored has clearly and freely agreed, understands what is collected, and can withdraw that agreement.
In every case, set it up in the open. FreePhoneSpy shows the person using the phone that it is there, through a Transparency screen on the device. That visibility is a feature, not a flaw. Turn on only the categories you have a real reason for, and keep the most sensitive ones — message bodies, the keylogger, recordings — as the exception rather than the default.
What you must not do
The following uses are prohibited. They break this policy and your terms, and several of them are crimes in many countries:
- Monitoring another adult without consent. Do not install or use FreePhoneSpy on a partner, spouse, ex-partner, family member, friend, employee, or any other adult without their knowledge and agreement.
- Covert surveillance. Do not try to hide the app, defeat the Transparency screen, or otherwise monitor someone who does not know and has not agreed.
- Stalking and harassment. Do not use location, messages, or any other data to follow, intimidate, threaten, coerce, or control a person.
- Devices you do not own or control. Do not install FreePhoneSpy on a phone that is not yours and where you have no lawful authority over the user.
- Using data to cause harm. Do not use anything the service collects to blackmail, expose, discriminate against, or otherwise hurt someone.
- Unlawful interception. Do not use FreePhoneSpy to intercept calls, messages or communications where doing so is against the law that applies to you.
- Circumventing transparency. Do not misrepresent what is being collected, or pressure someone into “consent” that is not freely given.
- Abuse of the service itself. Do not attempt to break, overload, resell, or reverse-engineer the service, and do not game the tasks system with fake or automated submissions.
If you are thinking about using FreePhoneSpy to check on a partner or another adult without telling them, this is not the product for you, and we ask you not to sign up. That is not a grey area for us.
A word on older teenagers
The right amount of monitoring changes as a child grows. What is fair for an eleven-year-old is usually far too much for a sixteen-year-old. Talk to your teenager, explain what is on and why, and step back the intrusive features as trust grows. FreePhoneSpy works best as a shared safety net, not a way to catch someone out.
Consequences of misuse
If we believe an account is being used to break this policy, we may suspend or permanently close it, remove the data, and refuse further use of the service — without notice where the misuse is serious or someone’s safety is at stake. Where the law requires it, we may report unlawful use to the appropriate authorities and cooperate with a valid legal request. Misuse can also expose you to civil and criminal liability quite apart from anything we do; that responsibility is yours.
Reporting misuse
If you believe someone is using FreePhoneSpy against you or another person without consent, tell us at [email protected] and we will look into it. If you think you may be a victim of this or any monitoring product, prioritise your safety first.
If you feel unsafe
FreePhoneSpy is built for open, consented family safety, and it is never meant to be used to control or frighten an adult. If someone is monitoring you without your agreement, or you feel unsafe with a partner or family member, please reach out for help. Contact a local domestic-abuse support service or helpline, speak to someone you trust, and if you are in immediate danger contact your local emergency number. Organisations that support people affected by technology-enabled abuse can advise you on checking a device safely. You are not alone, and you deserve support.
