Our story
We set out to build the phone monitoring app we'd be comfortable recommending to our own families — useful, honest and secure.
The phone-monitoring category has earned a fair amount of its bad reputation. Too many apps lean into fear, encourage snooping, and bury the question of legality where nobody will read it. We started FreePhoneSpy because we believed monitoring could be something better: a genuine safety tool for parents and a fair management tool for businesses, built on consent and transparency rather than secrecy.
That belief shapes every decision we make. We frame our product around the two situations where monitoring is both lawful and helpful — protecting your own minor children, and overseeing company-owned devices where staff are informed. We design our most sensitive features cautiously. And we put the legal realities front and centre, because we'd rather lose a sale than help someone do something harmful or illegal.
Usability. Powerful monitoring is worthless if the dashboard is a maze. We obsess over making information clear, so you get your answer in seconds and get on with your life.
Reliability. The app should run quietly without wrecking the monitored phone's speed or battery, and it should keep working as devices and apps change. Boring dependability is a feature.
Honesty. We tell you what works, what's limited (iPhone has real constraints), and what the law requires. No dark patterns, no fear-mongering.
Security. We handle sensitive data, so we protect it accordingly — encryption in transit, private accounts, and a privacy policy written to be read, not to hide.
Parents who want to keep a child safe online without hovering over their shoulder. Businesses that need to manage company devices fairly and transparently. Different needs, the same principles: consent, clarity and care.
We'd rather be the monitoring app you trust than the one with the longest feature list. Trust is the whole product.
If that resonates, we'd love for you to give FreePhoneSpy a try — or just tell us what you think.
A little more about who we are and how we work.
Responsible, consent-based monitoring. We build tools for parents protecting their children and businesses managing their own devices — and we actively discourage misuse.
Because the category has a reputation problem, much of it deserved. We think monitoring can be a genuine force for good when it's lawful and transparent, and harmful when it isn't. We built the product, and our policies, around that line.
No. Your monitoring data is yours; it lives in your private account. See our Privacy Policy for exactly how we handle it.
A team of engineers, parents and support staff who wanted a monitoring tool they'd actually be comfortable recommending to friends and family.
Our Terms restrict use to lawful, consent-based monitoring, we design sensitive features cautiously, and we make our stance on legality prominent rather than buried.
Yes. Because we handle sensitive information, security and encryption are central to how we build, not an afterthought.
